Alexei Kazantsev and the
Micro Revelation

An iconic image of the men and the
inspiring idea that forever changed the
world. A marble laptop that connects
history with innovation of the
human-computer interface.

There was a time when computers were
very big, very expensive and reserved to
the use of the very few. Along came Bill
Gates, who with his friends Paul Allen and
Steve Ballmer had a vision for a
"computer on every desk and in every
home".

"The Micro Revelation" is a tribute to the
great men and their ideas. Bill Gates sees
the future - the original IBM PC running
Windows 1.0 - and goes on to make it a
reality.

Carved by master sculptor
Alexei
Kazantsev
from the world famous Carrara
marble - the material of choice of
Michelangelo and many other great
artists.

Alexei, who was classically trained in the
renowned Surikov Art School, drew his
inspiration for the Micro Revelation after a
visit to the Microsoft headquarters in
Redmond and his trip to the company's
museum.

The sculpture consists of two pieces of
carved Carrara marble, hinged together
to form a version of a laptop or tablet PC.

This original work is signed by the artist
and is available for viewing and purchase
exclusively at the P.ART Gallery in
Redmond.
